Q I N G H A I  -  Panorama Photos

I visited Qinghai in December 2001 and September 2002. The following panorama photos were taken in 2002. They were created by stitching standard horizontal or vertical photos together using special software. This time, you need to click on each photo to get the enlarged version! (view Qinghai map)

The McDowall family from New Zealand currently lives in a traditional Tibetan house, called "ping fang". Photo was taken from the roof of their house.

Panoramic view of Tongren, located 4 hours south of Xining. Tongren has about 20,000 inhabitants.

This is a particularly wide-angle panorama shot of Tongren, but this time standing on the other side of the mountains.

On the other side of the mountains, numerous villages are found amongst the vast mountain ranges, an amazing sight!

Don't skip this 360° panoramic view from the mountaintop on Tongren and neighbouring villages! It was quite a climb! Click on it to get the 2600 pixel wide large version, with 102 KB still a fairly fast download.

Tongren is surrounded by amazing mountains, and the higher one climbs, the more mountains appear behind the first row of mountains.

Xipusha township, located on the 3600m high plateau of the northern Himalaya mountains, is surrounded by beautiful mountains
