Life in the villages - let's sit and wait for the rain to fall...

The village school, basic but functional. The kids had a great time watching us foreigners!

The climate is so harsh that even in April the river is still covered with a thick layer of ice. Trust me, this village was seriously remote!

Across the river, one can see Liaoning province. The vastness of the landscape is truly impressive.

Looking at the local spring - the villagers were eager to show us around and explore potential business opportunities.
